Amnesia Scanner is the Berlin-based Finnish duo Ville Haimala and Martti Kalliala. The group’s work encompasses music writing, production and performance, as well as creative staging and circulation. Building on their 2014 mixtape AS Live [][][][][], their projects include Angels Rig Hook (2015), Another Life (2018), Lexachast (2019) and Tearless (2020). For their recent releases STROBE.RIP (2023) and HOAX (2024), Amnesia Scanner joined forces with artist Freeka Tet. The duo has presented audio-visual performances at venues and festivals such as MoMA PS1, Serpentine Galleries, Bourse De Commerce and Manchester International Festival. Ville Haimala has also worked with artists, such as Anne Imhof and FKA Twigs, while Martti Kalliala is an architect and co-founder of the creative think tank Nemesis. Together, they push the boundaries of music and live performance through immersive multimedia experiences.
