
Linda Eggert is Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Stanford University. Her work in moral and political philosophy examines which considerations, aside from consequences, determine the rightness or wrongness of our acts. Eggert is also a Schmidt Sciences AI2050 Early Career Fellow, and interested in what is at stake in eliminating human agents from central areas of human activity. Eggert joined Stanford from the University of Oxford, where she earned her PhD (DPhil), and was an Early Career Fellow in Philosophy at the Institute for Ethics in AI. Eggert has also held fellowships at the McCoy Center for Ethics in Society at Stanford, the Edmond and Lily Safra Center for Ethics at Harvard University and the Carr Center for Human Rights Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School, where she was a Technology and Human Rights Fellow.
