Chiara Vecchiarelli
Philosopher and Curator
Chiara Vecchiarelli is a philosopher and curator whose work bridges contemporary philosophy, art criticism and visual culture. She holds a PhD in philosophy from the École normale supérieure in Paris and in visual culture from the Università Iuav di Venezia. Vecchiarelli teaches philosophy of art, aesthetics and general philosophy at Université Paris 1 Panthéon‑Sorbonne and Sorbonne Université. Her research and writing explore the ontogenetic and conceptual dimensions of images and artistic practice. She is a member of PhilOfr and serves on the editorial board of Oboe – Journal on Biennials and Other Exhibitions. In addition to her academic work, she curates exhibition programmes and public talks and was a curatorial researcher for dOCUMENTA (13) in 2012.
