Anna Pappa

Anna Pappa is a DFG Emmy Noether Junior Group Leader at the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department of the Berlin Institute of Technology. Her field of research is quantum communication, computation and cryptography. Her research aims to bridge the gap between theory and experiments in order to maximally exploit the full potential of quantum information processing. She has worked extensively on delegated quantum computation, verification of quantum resources and quantum network routing as necessary processes for wide-scale quantum computation and is actively involved in the industrial application and exploitation of quantum technologies.

Apart from the 6-year DFG Emmy Noether grant, Pappa has received several other grants, including two Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowships, an Alexander von Humboldt postdoctoral fellowship, Anita Borg Google fellowship and recently a Hector Research Career Development Award. She is also a principal investigator at the Einstein Research Unit for Quantum Technologies and a scientific collaborator of the Fraunhofer Institute for Open Communication Systems (FOKUS).
