Ariane Koek

Ariane Koek is a British independent producer, curator and writer recognised internationally for her transdisciplinary work in arts, science, technology and creating new residency programmes. Often cited as a world leader in the field of arts and science, Koek is best known for initiating and being the founder of Arts at CERN – the first officially organised international arts programme by the world's leading particle physics laboratory in Geneva. During her time at CERN, she worked with over 78 artists, including the fashion designer Iris van Herpen, artist Anselm Kiefer, digital artist and musician Ryoji Ikeda and artist Julius von Bismarck.

Since 2015, she has worked independently as a consultant, producer, curator and writer, and on various cultural projects with international organisations including the Exploratorium in San Francisco. In 2021, she was one of the invited creative directors of the official Italian virtual pavillon, CityX Venice, at the Venice Biennale for Architecture. She has also been closely advising the Cavendish Arts Science Programme at Cambridge University, for which she is a Creative Partner.
