Dr Katja Naie has worked at the Schering Stiftung, Berlin, as director of the Science Program since September 2015, and as managing director since 1 July 2019. After studying biology and completing her PhD in neuroscience, she worked as a researcher at ETH Zurich. In 2007, she moved to the Hertie Foundation, Frankfurt where she initiated and directed the information portal www.dasGehirn.info. She is co-author of the children’s nonfiction book Denkste?!: Verblüffende Fragen und Antworten rund ums Gehirn (You think? Amazing Questions and Answers around the Brain) and a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the International Graduate School of Neuroscience in Bochum. Building bridges between science, art and society is her personal passion, and she strives to achieve this goal in her daily work at the Schering Stiftung.
