KUKII

KUKII is a Paris-born Egyptian-Iranian artist, singer, composer, and producer known for her visionary global pop music. Since 2015, she has released multiple EPs and albums under the alias Lafawndah. She has collaborated with artists such as Midori Takada, Tirzah, Coby Sey, Sega Bodega, and Jeff Mills, and has performed live at venues including the Théâtre du Châtelet, Paris; Fondation Cartier, Paris; ICA, London; Southbank Centre, London; Barbican, London; Sónar, Barcelona; La Biennale di Venezia, and Le Guess Who?, Utrecht, among others. In March 2025, KUKII released the EP Rare Baby, which draws on Mahraganat—a style of Egyptian electronic music integral to Cairo’s underground scene—to explore themes of self-discovery, kinship, and liberation.
