Kraftwerk Berlin

New LAS commission featuring music by CURL, Koreless and Ori Lichtik

The LAS commission Wet is a site-specific live creation conceived by acclaimed choreographer Sharon Eyal and co-creator Gai Behar in collaboration with London-based collective CURL featuring Mica Levi, Brother May and Coby Sey; artist, producer and composer Koreless; and their long-time collaborator Ori Lichtik. It concludes their series This Is Not A Love Show and their two-month residency with LAS where Kraftwerk Berlin became a platform for Eyal & Behar to develop new material that responds to the architecture of this iconic building. Wet is performed by the dancers of L-E-V Dance Company, an international and nomadic ensemble that Eyal & Behar founded in 2013.

Eyal & Behar are interested in the intersection of movement, music and space, repeatedly bringing their work outside traditional dance venues. Their unique and signature style merges classical dance with underground club culture, continually pushing the boundaries of contemporary dance, challenging the conventions of what to expect from an evening of performances.

As the culmination of Eyal & Behar’s series This Is Not A Love Show, Wet is a testament to Eyal & Behar’s core artistic approach – an intuitive drive for experimentation, always in search of an intense connection between the performers on stage and their audience.
